Through calls – phone or Skype – emails and on line assessments.    This allows you to schedule sessions at times that suit you

3. Who completes the Diagnostic Assessments?

Parents know their child better than anyone else. Parents complete the on line Diagnostic Assessments.

4. How does the Porter Diagnostic Learning Assessment differ from an Educational Psychology assessment?

There are many ways to assess a child’s learning.

Educational Psychological (EdPsych) assessments use standardized assessment tools to look at what your child can and cannot do in relation to other children of the same age.

The Porter Process™ assesses your child’s potential by diagnosing what skills your child already has and what skills he or she needs to develop to reach this potential. This process looks at where your child is now, where you want him or her to be, and what is getting in the way of this happening.  The results offer you proven practical strategies that help you unlock your child’s innate abilities.

 5. How do I know which  I need?

Like so many things, it depends on what you want to get from the process.

  • EdPsych assessments tell you which skills your child lacks – in relation to other children of the same age.

If you want to know how your child is progressing in relation to others of the same age and want to support your child’s school in providing the teaching your child needs this is the type of assessment to choose.

  • The Porter Process™ shows you how your child’s learning strengths can be used to overcome learning challenges.  When you have this information you can help your child reach his or her potential – irrespective of what other children of the same age are doing.

If you want to know what is stopping your child reaching his or her potential and what you can do to unlock that potential The Porter Process™, complete with diagnostic learning assessments is the way to go.

 6. How long will the process take?

Depends on you.  It can take as little as two weeks or as long as two months.  You set the schedule with your Learning Leader.

 7. How will I know it is working?

You will know! You will experience less stress, more control and more fun almost immediately.  And, although this doesn’t always happen, I have seen changes in children in as little as a day.

  8. Who will be my Learning Leader?

Your personal Learning Leader will be someone who has been vetted by Dr. Patricia Porter and gone through a rigorous training process before connecting with you.
